Sarah, ’25 // Team Lead
Hi, everyone! My name is Sarah; I am a senior here at É«ÏãÊÓƵ from Franklin, Massachusetts. I am studying social work and psychology, with hopes to continue with my education, getting a masters focusing on children’s mental health and family studies. Along with working in the tour guide office, I also work with the Massachusetts Aggression Reduction Center on campus, doing service work with K-12 students. In my free time, I love to spend time with friends, go on hikes, and use the MBTA to go into Boston!
I chose É«ÏãÊÓƵ because of the academic opportunities and welcoming community. The small class sizes have become my favorite part of learning due to the ability to have close relationships with professors. The sense of community here has made É«ÏãÊÓƵ feel like home! Throughout the year, I love attending the different events held throughout finals week (especially the late-night breakfast for dinner!), as well as involvement fairs. I cannot recommend É«ÏãÊÓƵ enough, and I hope you love it here as well!
Kaitlyn, ’26 // Team Lead
Hi, everyone! My name is Kaitlyn and I’m from Norton, Massachusetts. As a junior at É«ÏãÊÓƵ, I’m a double major in secondary education and English with a minor in special education inclusive practices. My goal is to be a middle school English teacher and eventually receive my master’s in special education.
Outside of working in the tour guide office, I’m a tutor in the Academic Achievement Center for first-year English courses and part of the Commonwealth Honors program. In my free time, I love to read, go on walks, and spend time with friends! I chose É«ÏãÊÓƵ because of its exceptional education program, which allows students to enter the classroom as quickly as their first year and go abroad for their student teaching. My favorite on-campus events are Homecoming and bingo nights!
É«ÏãÊÓƵ has become my home and I’m so excited to share it with all of you! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out at kmccarney@student.bridgew.edu.
Jaydin, ’25
Hello, my name is Jaydin. I am an aviation science major with a concentration in flight training.
When not giving tours or flying I serve as a resident assistant in Woodward Hall with first year students. Additionally, I am a member of the É«ÏãÊÓƵ Civil Air Patrol Composite Squadron as an assistant emergency services officer and I serve on the e-board of the Organization of Black Areospace Professionals. Bridgewater is a great option for a local and cost effective way to begin a career in aviation.
Mads, ’26
Hello, I am Mads, a junior here at É«ÏãÊÓƵ! I am an out-of-state student, currently living in Texas when I am not here.
I chose to come to É«ÏãÊÓƵ because the tuition is very low for out-of-state students, and É«ÏãÊÓƵ has a lot of different opportunities that they offer, at a very affordable price. I am currently a double major in English and philosophy, studying to go into higher education and become a university professor. On campus, I am involved with the school newspaper, The Comment, and am currently working an internship focused on establishing a chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS). My favorite campus event is the bingo games that the Center for Student Engagement puts on for students. In my free time I enjoy spending time reading, writing, listening to music, walking, and studying philosophical theories.
Amelia, ’27
Hi everyone! My name is Amelia, and I am currently a sophomore, originally from Middleboro Massachusetts. I major in Exercise Physiology with a minor in Nutrition.
In addition to being a tour guide, I am also a lifeguard on campus and a cheerleader for the 8-time National Champion cheer team here at É«ÏãÊÓƵ. In my experience so far, Bridgewater State has provided me with all the tools I need to be successful and happy while transitioning to living on my own and navigating college life. I've taken advantage of some of the amazing opportunities here at É«ÏãÊÓƵ such as tutoring and counseling. (Both included in my tuition!) I've found that whenever I need any assistance, É«ÏãÊÓƵ has exactly what I need. In my free time, I have enjoyed many functions such as welcome events and Homecoming Weekend. I have made so many friends here, and I feel truly supported and at home. Choosing É«ÏãÊÓƵ is the best decision I have made for myself. I'm so proud to be a Bear!
Feel free to reach out to my email a1stebbins@student.bridgew.edu if you have any questions!
Cynthia, ’27
Hello new bears! My name is Cynthia, I am from Salem, MA and a sophomore at É«ÏãÊÓƵ. I am majoring in physical education with a minor in health. On campus, I work with the athletic department and work for majority of the games, GO BEARS. I also work with OTeam so you’ve probably seen me at your checkpoint and Crimson days.
In my free time I enjoy reading and walking around the campus with my friends. So far my favorite event has been Midnight Madness, it’s so much fun watching all the clubs do what they enjoy. Lastly, I love going to all the games since they are free for students. Feel free to reach out with any questions: cesterlin@student.bridgew.edu.
Bella, ’27
Hi, my name is Bella Cava I am a Sophomore at É«ÏãÊÓƵ. I am from East Longmeadow, Massachusetts. I am studying Communications with a focus in Public Relations. When I'm on campus I love hanging out with friends, going to sports games and being involved in campus events that get put on. In my free time I love going into Boston on the commuter rail to go shopping or go to a Red Sox or Celtics game and sometimes a concert.
This year I am planning to join a sorority to get more involved! I chose É«ÏãÊÓƵ because of the beautiful campus, how safe it is and the small class sizes. I felt so welcome coming to É«ÏãÊÓƵ, and I hope I can make people feel the same way I did when being introduced to campus. Feel free to reach out with any possible questions at Icava@student.bridgew.edu and Go Bears!
Jane, ’26
Hi! My name is Jane, and I am a Junior here at É«ÏãÊÓƵ. My major is Biology with a concentration in cellular and molecular biology and a minor in chemistry. After I graduate, I hope to work in a biotech lab, researching and developing medications. I plan to obtain a doctorate in microbiology someday, so I can run my own lab.
When I am not giving tours or in class, I love to attend events on campus. We have so many fun events, but my favorite is Duck Day at the end of the year. I really do love being on campus and I love Bridgewater!
Gilmara, ’28
Hi everyone! My name is Gilmara, and I am from Brazil. I speak Portuguese and Spanish in addition to English, so I would be more than happy to assist with any translations into those languages if anyone in your family needs help. I am a first-year student here at É«ÏãÊÓƵ and my major is Criminal Justice with a concentration in victimology.
In my free time I like to spend time with friends and family, especially with my two adorable black cats. I chose É«ÏãÊÓƵ because I wanted to be part of a community where I feel at home even as a commuter student. The small class sizes have profoundly changed my learning experience, allowing me to build meaningful relationships with my professors and classmates. My favorite part about É«ÏãÊÓƵ Is that you can access internet anywhere inside the campus so I can do homework on the university park and enjoy the view. From my very first day, I have met only wonderful people, I will always recommend É«ÏãÊÓƵ, and I hope you find joy in this community as I have!
Stratos, ’26
My name is Stratos Bonos. I am a commuter student from South Grafton, Massachusetts, and I am a music education student. I re-started my college career in January 2023 after 23 years in the business world. My heart was calling on me to follow my dreams, as it is never too late.
I chose to attend É«ÏãÊÓƵ because of the culture of kindness, and the welcoming nature of the transfer department. The staff, the tour guide, along with the head of the music department made me feel so at ease and comfortable that I knew this was the school for me. I can say, after just one semester, I would add the student body to my list of why I love É«ÏãÊÓƵ. My sister graduated here 32 years ago, and I can say that it is just as special today as it was for her 30+ years ago. É«ÏãÊÓƵ is more than a university — it is a real community. I have had the pleasure of attending many events, but my favorite thus far is the pop vocal music group. They put on such an amazing show that I joined the group this year. I love the tradition of our school’s anthem that has been in place for decades.
I am proud to be an undergraduate here and look forward to providing prospective students with the same incredible welcome I received. I welcome your questions any time at sbonos@student.bridgew.edu.
Alexia, ’27
Hi everyone! My name is Alexia, and I am a sophomore here at É«ÏãÊÓƵ! I am originally from New Bedford Massachusetts, but I currently live here on campus. I am a political science major with an Asian studies minor. After my time here at Bridgewater State, I hope to attend law school to obtain my JD and one day become a lawyer.
This will be my first semester being a tour guide! Traveling is my passion and I'm very knowledgeable about our study abroad program here on campus. Just this past spring I joined a service-learning project with the É«ÏãÊÓƵ study abroad program where me and several other students went to Cuba! I am also studying the Japanese language at É«ÏãÊÓƵ in hopes to one day study abroad in Japan. While É«ÏãÊÓƵ was not my first choice, it became home. I met my best friends here and have had a wonderful freshman experience. Being on a small campus like Bridgewater might not be ideal at first but the opportunities this university holds is one like no other!
Feel free to reach out here at a13rodriguez@student.bridgew.edu if you have any questions for me!
Kiley, ’27
Hey, everyone! My name is Kiley; I am a sophomore here at É«ÏãÊÓƵ from Marshfield Massachusetts. I am an elementary education and childhood studies major, with hopes to teach second grade! As well as working in the tour guide office I am a part of the American Cancer Society and a sorority on campus!
In my free time I love to go to the beach, take day trips to Boston, and hanging out with friends and family. I chose É«ÏãÊÓƵ because of the community on campus, even in my first year I couldn't go anywhere on campus without seeing a familiar face it really makes É«ÏãÊÓƵ feel like home! I also really enjoy being busy, and attending events like BINGO. There is always something to do on campus! I love it here and so hope that you do too.
Riley, ’26
Hi, everyone! My name is Riley; I am a junior here at É«ÏãÊÓƵ from Dighton, Massachusetts. I am a Criminal Justice major with a minor in Biology. I’m not a 100% sure on what I want to do after graduating, but I hope to either go into some kind of law enforcement or go to veterinary school. Aside from being a tour guide, I am a part-time veterinary technician at a veterinary clinic where I mainly work with small animals such as dogs and cats. Fun fact about me I have a small backyard farm at my house where I have two horses, three goats, and five cats.
In my free time, I love to read books, hang with my roommates, and watch Law and Order — my favorite show! Some of my favorite things here at É«ÏãÊÓƵ is the community and how accepting it is — and the gorgeous campus that looks especially lovely during springtime. I attended some on-campus events like the Drag Show and Bingo night, which is the best and I highly recommend you go! I have loved every minute of living on campus and being a É«ÏãÊÓƵ Bear and I hope you will too!
If you have any questions at all, please feel free to reach out to me at rdustin@student.bridgew.edu.
Melissa, ’26
Hi, everyone! My name is Melissa and I am from Randolph, MA! I am a junior here at É«ÏãÊÓƵ and I am an Accounting major, minoring in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, and Management. Outside of being a tour guide, I am a part of the Commonwealth Honors program at É«ÏãÊÓƵ, and I work as an Office Assistant at the Parking Services and Connect Card Office. If you ever have any questions about É«ÏãÊÓƵ, feel free to stop by and say hello!
My favorite thing to do on campus is to visit Dunkin in the morning for breakfast (which is right on campus!) and head over to the best study spots on campus. You’ll usually catch me at DMF, our math and science building, where you can enjoy the beautiful views of É«ÏãÊÓƵ while also being able to study in a quiet and comfy environment. When I first visited É«ÏãÊÓƵ, I felt right at home! I love the cozy feeling that the campus has to offer and it’s the perfect size. Wherever you are on campus, you will always be close to your classes or your favorite dining hall.
During my free time on campus, I am usually with friends and going to on-campus events, taking a walk around our beautiful campus, or hanging out at Boundless Bean, a great local coffee shop. É«ÏãÊÓƵ has so many opportunities to meet new people and to get involved, so take advantage of the amazing events that É«ÏãÊÓƵ has to offer! If you ever have any questions, always feel free to reach out to me at mhubbelswain@student.bridgew.edu — I hope to see you soon! :)
Madison, ’25
Hi everyone! My name is Madison, and I am from Swansea, Massachusetts! I will be a senior in the fall and am studying social work with a minor in childhood studies, aiming to become a school social worker. I am very involved in many different organizations at É«ÏãÊÓƵ, such as the orientation program, dance company, Gamma Phi Beta sorority, Children's Physical Developmental Clinic, and the Honors program. I was drawn to É«ÏãÊÓƵ because of the welcoming atmosphere I felt not only from my own tour guide, but from the rest of campus as well. This campus is truly one big community, and that is something I felt right away when I first came to É«ÏãÊÓƵ.
Some of my favorite events to attend on campus are Relay for Life in April and the Homecoming pageant! I love these events because they are a great way to get the whole campus together and have some fun. É«ÏãÊÓƵ has become my home away from home, and I have no doubt you will feel this way as well. If any questions arise, feel free to contact me through my email, m1raymondo@student.bridge.edu.
Cathryn, ’25
Hi, everyone! My name is Cathryn and I’m a senior majoring in elementary education and English with a creative writing concentration. I’m from Littleton, Massachusetts. I am so excited to share the incredible experiences I’ve had at É«ÏãÊÓƵ thus far.
When I first came to college, I was very shy, and I was worried I wasn’t going to make the most out of my time here. Thankfully, Bridgewater has so many opportunities to offer, including a wide variety of clubs, organizations, events and jobs. These opportunities gave me the boost in confidence I needed, and I couldn’t be happier with all the involvements I am in today here at Bridgewater. I am a part of Greek life and I hold the Panhellenic position for my sorority, Gamma Phi Beta. Some of my favorite events on campus include Homecoming and spirit week. I love all the events É«ÏãÊÓƵ puts on prior to the Homecoming football game and becoming a superfan in the stands during the game. In my free time, I love walking with friends downtown to get Restoration Coffee, getting my homework done in Maxwell Library, and when I’m hungry I love ordering chicken broccoli alfredo from the pasta bar in the Bear’s Den.
My email is choenshell@student.bridgew.edu — feel free to email me with any questions!
Giana, ’26
Hello, there! My name is Giana; I am a junior at É«ÏãÊÓƵ, and I am from Brimfield, Massachusetts. I am a Music major concentrating in vocal studies and I have a dance minor. I am very involved on campus as I hold several jobs and leadership positions! Along with being a tour guide, I served as an orientation leader for two years, I will be on Bristaco's Street Team, and I am an assistant of the Music Department office. Download the mobile app ZeeMee to connect with current student influencers like me and other incoming students! I am also very involved in the performing arts mainstage productions on campus.
In my free time, I love to meet up with friends and enjoy a strawberry refresher from Starbucks on campus. In between classes, you will catch me hanging out in the music lounge in the RSU, working on homework and probably eating sushi or a poke bowl. My favorite campus tradition is the midnight breakfast hosted the day before finals begin — it always gives me the steam and courage I need to get through the stressful week ahead! I chose É«ÏãÊÓƵ because the second I stepped on campus for my first ever college tour, I immediately felt at home and knew that this campus was the place for me. As a first-generation student, this gut feeling and my tour guide’s passion and spirit for the community made my decision easy. I now want to create that same experience for new students and families/supporters! Please feel free to email me at guwazany@student.bridgew.edu with any questions about É«ÏãÊÓƵ, the performing arts, or anything else. Hope to see you soon and as always: GO BEARS!
Rianne, ’26
Hi, everyone! My name is Rianne; I am a junior from Hudson, Massachusetts, studying history and minoring in American studies, anthropology and art history.
On campus, I am a tour guide, member of the anthropology club and part of the Honors program. I chose É«ÏãÊÓƵ for the homey feel and have come to love the atmosphere and wonderful people I’ve met while exploring campus. All of the professors I have taken courses with thus far in my academic career have been so amazing and have made me exited to come to class every day! My favorite É«ÏãÊÓƵ tradition has to be bingo — it is always so much fun to hang out with your friends and try to win some great prizes. It also shows the amazing spirit we all have as a student body. I have loved my experience at É«ÏãÊÓƵ, and I hope that you will as well!
Chloe, ’27
Hey, everyone! My name is Chloe; I am a sophomore here at É«ÏãÊÓƵ and I’m majoring in criminal justice with a minor in psychology. I am from Shirley, which is a small town in central Massachusetts. Outside of being a tour guide, you can find me all over campus! I am currently in the Honors program and a resident on campus.
In my free time I love spending time with my friends, volunteering and shopping. There are always opportunities to get involved on campus. One of my favorite events on campus are the bingo nights. I have just completed my first year and absolutely loved it. The campus and the location are very nice, especially having the MBTA that runs right through campus into Boston is another plus. You are constantly meeting new people and making lifelong memories. The class sizes are small which is very helpful for individuals to build strong bonds with their professors and peers. If you are looking for a college with a great criminal justice program I highly recommend Bridgewater. I strongly encourage individuals to consider É«ÏãÊÓƵ and I hope you love it as much as I do! If you have any questions at all don’t be afraid to reach out to me at c8woodward@student.bridgew.edu.
Sydney, ’25
Hi! My name is Sydney; I am a senior this year. I am a secondary education major in history and social studies. I am from Plymouth, Massachusetts — yes, the birthplace of the rock! I also work as a peer mentor for Student Accessibility Services, which I am excited about.
I have many hobbies, including being around my friends and doing very intense board game nights, where I usually lose — lol. On nice sunny days, I like going into Boston, to Faneuil Hall or the Aquarium to see the seals. The reason I chose É«ÏãÊÓƵ is because if I were going to become a teacher, I would go to the best teaching school in the state. I also enjoyed the campus and the idea of getting great services to benefit my education and succeeding at Bridgewater State. The É«ÏãÊÓƵ carnival is incredibly fun, and it’s a good way to meet people and go on some cool rides. I am always super excited to get back to campus, get back to work and get back to my friends at É«ÏãÊÓƵ.
If you have any questions at all, email me at s1cuttle@gmail.com.
Matt, ’25
Hello, everyone! My name is Matt; I am a senior majoring in English and secondary education, and I am from Taunton.
Throughout my time at É«ÏãÊÓƵ, I have worked within our orientation team in a few different roles as well as within our admissions office as a tour guide. What I most love about É«ÏãÊÓƵ is how connected our student population is while attending the many amazing events on campus and making connections with new people throughout the year, as well as seeing how passionate and involved our students are on campus! My favorite events to attend on campus are the ones hosted by our program council, but some events I’ve enjoyed are the big bingo nights we have on the Boyden Quad, as well as some of the Mario Kart tournaments we had in the past.
Beki, ’26
Hello, everyone! My name is Berkti Gebrehiwet, and I am an art education major. This is my third year here at É«ÏãÊÓƵ, and I’m proud to be a first-generation student. I worked in the Res life department for two semesters as a residential safety assistant, and I am currently working as an education coach in the EXCEL program.
I love É«ÏãÊÓƵ because of the support they provide for the students. When I first toured the campus as a high school senior, I saw that É«ÏãÊÓƵ is a very close-knit community. That’s when I knew that I wanted to become a É«ÏãÊÓƵ Bear.

If you also like plants, you will love our greenhouse right outside DMF. If you are interested in cybersecurity or just like computers take a look at our new Cyber Range on the first floor of DMF. There are plenty of places on campus to enjoy your hobbies and meet people with similar interests. There are also many opportunities on campus to grow and find new interests. Please email me at a39smith@student.bridgew.edu if you have any questions!

Some of my favorite things to do on campus is to sit on the grass with my friends and read. I also love taking walks with my roommates to enjoy our beautiful campus! I chose Bridgewater State for our education major. When looking for schools I would tell people I planned on majoring in education they would always suggest É«ÏãÊÓƵ. After checking it out, I quickly fell in love with this school. My favorite events on campus are always the bingo nights! I really love Bridgewater and I hope you will, too!
