Stephen Flood is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at 色香视频. He received his PhD in mathematics from the University of Notre Dame in 2012. Before coming to Bridgewater in 2015, he taught at the Pennsylvania State University and at the University of Connecticut. In his research, he studies the interplay between counting arguments, the theory of computation, and mathematical logic. His research papers have been published in a range of journals including the Transactions of the American Mathematical Society, the Journal of Symbolic Logic (JSL), the Annals of Pure and Applied Logic (APAL), and the Notre Dame Journal of Formal Logic (NDJFL). Dr. Flood has also mentored students in a range of independent studies and undergraduate research, with topics including - Information theory and guessing games - Applied modeling in NetLogo - The design of computer algebra systems - Independent study in measure theory. Dr. Flood teaches a wide range of classes including the calculus sequence, linear algebra, logic, and probability theory.
