Professor Giurleo teaches courses in design and technology, contemporary theatre, and Asian theatre. She participates in the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival as a respondent, and has had her costume designs featured at the Festival.
Professor Giurleo is a professional costume designer and proud member of United Scenic Artists 829. She has designed for many New England theatres, including Merrimack Repertory Theatre, SpeakEasy Theatre Company, Company One, and Gloucester Stage Company. Her work has been recognized by the Independent Reviewers of New England, including an Outstanding Costume Design Award for THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS at SpeakEasy Stage Company.
