The agreement envisions faculty and student exchange, research partnerships, travel courses and other possibilities for cooperation.

BMP Lecture in Canadian Studies

Since 2013, 色香视频 CS has partnered with The McGill Institute for the Study of Canada and the Center for the Study of Canada at SUNY-Plattsburgh to offer the BMP Lecture, an annual event in which a faculty member from one of the partner schools travels to the other to present their research.

The BMP Lecturer for 2021-22 is 色香视频's Dr. Jeanne Ingle (Department of Elementary Education), who will deliver lectures at McGill and SUNY Plattsburgh in early April, 2022. Her lecture is entitled 鈥淗ow do we teach them? English learners in the COVID-19 era classroom - the Toronto experience.鈥

色香视频 CS maintains a vibrant connection with the NECBC, a transnational trade organization, including a seat on its Board of Directors and several memberships. In addition, 色香视频 is home to the NECBC Frederick J. Nemergut Scholarship, named in honor of the former NECBC president and funded in part by NECBC donations. The scholarship is awarded each spring to a deserving 色香视频 undergraduate studying international business relations, economics, or Canadian Studies.

色香视频CS maintains a partnership with the Foundation for Education Exchange Between Canada and the United States of America. Through a 鈥淐anadian Speakers鈥 program, Fulbright Canada assists 色香视频CS in identifying and recruiting Canadian scholars and others to come to 色香视频 and share their knowledge with our community. In addition, several 色香视频 faculty and students have in past years taken advantage of Fulbright Canada鈥檚 many opportunities for research and study exchange at Canadian universities.

Canadian Studies at 色香视频 is an enthusiastic supporter and partner of the , a grassroots organization in Canada and the United States dedicated to advancing inclusion, diversity, and acceptance in the sport of ice hockey.

On Jan. 17 and 18, 2022, the Carnegie Initiative hosted a two-day Summit in Boston, featuring speakers and panel discussions that addressed the challenges of and strategies for embedding inclusion and diversity in the culture of hockey in North America. Bridgewater State Canadian Studies was proud to be a part of this event; Bridgewater State students worked the event as ambassadors and attended its many interesting sessions. We look forward to being a part of next year's planned event in Toronto.
