Awards

Professor T. Leonard Kelly Memorial Award in Chemistry and Physics 
The Professor T. Leonard Kelly Memorial Award in Chemistry and Physics is given in memory of Professor T. Leonard Kelly, chairman of the Department of Physical Science from 1942-1965, and presented by the chemistry and physics departments to seniors who have maintained the highest scholastic average throughout their undergraduate study. No application is required. This award is made by the faculty in the Departments of Chemical Sciences and Physics.

Best Research Presentation Awards 
The Best Research Presentation award is given based on the presentation given at Student Arts and Research Symposium (StARS) held annually by the Office of Undergraduate Research. Two awards are given, one for theoretical research and the other for experimental research. 

Scholarships

Dr. George A. Weygand Scholarship
Named in honor of Dr. George A. Weygand, a member of the faculty and chair of the Department of Physics from 1958-1999, the Dr. George A. Weygand Scholarship was established in 1999 to benefit an undergraduate student. Preference is given to a junior or senior, majoring in physics, chemistry or earth science who has an excellent scholastic record and who plans to be a teacher of science.
